The reassuring nature of soft layers and textures has proved to be so much more than just practical since we started our second lockdown.Comforting as well as comfortable, these are the looks I’ve been wearing as we returned to working from home.

Clashing textures is my shortcut to creating an outfit that feels luxe and considered yet effortless. This Washed Cotton Mixed Media Cargo Jogger combines different cotton fabric textures that sit beautifully with our Lofty Cashmere Curved Hem Jumper. The hemline of this knit rises up slightly at the front so that it doesn’t compete with the jogger’s waist tie detail. I can throw on our Reversible Shearling Biker Jacket and a beanie hat for the dog walk.

The cardigan is having a renaissance moment as a layering hero. I love that this Fluffy Alpaca Merino Cardigan has decent-sized pockets so that I can pop my phone or lip balm in as I wander around the house. This shearling gilet is great for adding on top when I go for a walk and even for sitting in when I’m working as it can get quite chilly at home. 

Our Italian Wool Longline Military Coat is a true classic. I absolutely love it as it just looks so smart, even when styled over a pair of staple wide-leg jeans. It even fits over a chunky jumper like the Merino Cashmere Statement Cuff Jumper (which will be back in stock soon). The added benefit is that it will work well dressed down now and dressed up later. 

Like so many others, I’m back to copious video calls so I lean heavily on this tailored blazer to thrown on when I need to look smart from the top up. 
The cropped length is ideal for sitting in as it stops at just the right point on the waist. Velour is enjoying the most incredible resurgence this season. I’ve been living in our Velour Jogger. It’s the perfect texture for now: soft, tactile, and luxurious.

Our Donegal Tweed Bomber is a cool alternative to a blazer. The masculine tweed fabric is balanced with soft feminine gathers at the shoulder and the sporty rib trims with a luxe pearl detail on the zip. A cashmere hoody is a staple in my wardrobe all year round. It’s an excellent layering piece, particularly under blazers for video calls and coats like the Italian Houndstooth Swing Pea Coat for lunchtime walks. The cut of this coat is perfect for winter as we designed it to sit comfortably over chunky knits and still create a flattering silhouette.
