You may know Louise Roe as a journalist, presenter or for her not one, but two, immaculately curated Instagram accounts. Her blog, Front Roe, is filled with enough content on everything from style to interiors and parenting advice to rival any digital magazine, and she does it all with a toddler and a complete home renovation alongside. Now pregnant with her second child, we caught up with Louise to talk multitasking, maternity style and Mother’s Day plans.

You're one busy woman: a true multi-hyphenate, with a 3-year-old daughter and another on the way. How have you found managing everything while at home over lockdown?
It's been a total juggle, with a few meltdowns in the mix, but I'm actually feeling energetic at the moment, so happy to be busy and distracted! I think everyone is going through their own version of spinning plates in the air, what I miss are the moments of downtime to relax and switch off with a friend over dinner.

Your maternity style is flawless. What advice do you have for expectant mothers when it comes to dressing for a bump? Are you doing anything differently second time around?
Gosh that's very kind, well your clothes have made me feel confident again actually! There are different stages of bump, and I find it harder in the beginning when jeans don't really fit, but you're not showing enough to wear a stretchy dress. Now I'm either in maternity leggings, a simple sweater or a midi dress or skirt. I find darker colours more flattering too, like navy.

Have you stocked up on any style staples for when the baby arrives?
A couple of comfy pairs of pjs, and yes - I've got a few floaty dresses ready to go, those first few weeks you just don't want to be in anything tight.

You're about to have your second daughter. What key lessons are you hoping to pass down to your girls - sartorial, or otherwise?
I have always been really honest with my followers, and they with me. It's actually a lovely relationship; I ask for advice just as much as I give it and I think it's important to show behind the scenes, as well as the professional pretty pictures.

Finally: any plans for Mother's Day?
We are going to bake - which I am terrible at! But planning to make some lovely pastries, set the table, and have my own Mum on Facetime while we eat brunch. Fingers crossed we might even be able to do it all in the garden.
