This thriller, written and directed by Remi Weekes, follows a refugee couple who have made a harrowing journey from war-torn South Sudan, only to find themselves placed in a house where malevolent forces are at play.

This Amazon original film features Riz Ahmed as a drummer who loses his hearing, and seemingly along with it, his sense of purpose.

Les Misérables

This French film involves no singing, but it is set in Montfermeil, the same Parisian district of Victor Hugo’s 1862 novel, addressing the relationship between the police and the residents of one of Paris’ most neglected suburbs.
Quo Vadis, Aida?

Set during the Bosnian war, Aida is working as a UN translator in Srebrenica when the Serbian army assumes control of the town, leaving her with life-changes choices she must make for herself and her family.

The White Tiger

Adapted from the Man Booker Prize-winning novel by Aravind Adiga, this is the story of a chauffeur born into poverty who is determined to change his fate, whatever the cost.

Judas and the Black Messiah

This arresting film tells the true story of an FBI informant who infiltrates the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party in the late 1960s to gather intelligence on Chairman Fred Hampton.
Calm with Horses

Set in rural Ireland, this directorial feature debut of Nick Rowland follows an ex-boxer who has become the feared enforcer for a drug-dealing family, whilst also trying to be a good father to his young autistic son.
