Hero Banner

As lockdown is gently easing, I’ve started thinking about what my wardrobe is going to look like over the coming months. Some colour and print feels celebratory; some soft tailoring is perfect for socialising and spending more time in the office again. Incorporating a few of my favourite pieces from our upcoming spring collection, here are the looks I’ll be styling.

My wardrobe diary

The statement jumpsuit

There is something really invigorating about this particular shade of blue. A white side stripe that runs from body to ankle disrupts it so that it doesn’t feel too blocky and a wide detachable belt cinches in the waist so that the voluminous shape doesn’t feel overwhelming.

The floral maxi

This dress is made from the softest fabric, which is also machine washable, so whilst it looks smart it actually feels very casual when you put it on. A denim jacket over the top is a no-brainer for afternoons in the garden or park with friends.

The versatile jumpsuit

This jumpsuit is made from a cotton-linen blend fabric so it’s a perfect, breathable weight for summer. What’s great is the tobacco stitching that runs throughout: it’s very subtle, but it just takes the edge off the ecru colour, softening it and making it easy to style with other staples in your wardrobe, whether that’s white trainers or some tan heels.

The summer dress

A white cotton cheesecloth dress is a summer essential. This one comes with a detachable belt, so you can choose to wear it loose and floaty or drawn in at the waist for a more fitted silhouette, as I’ve done here. I’m daydreaming about wearing this on the beach, but with trainers and a denim jacket it works perfectly for the city or country for now.

The oversized shirt

An oversized boyfriend shirt has become a go-to over the last year; perfect for wearing whilst working at home, but equally relaxed enough to wear straight into the weekend. The contrasting yellow stripes of this cotton shirt give it a more contemporary feel, a subtle nod to one of this season’s key colours.

The work look

This is my perfect work look: relaxed enough to be comfortable in all day if I’m WFH, yet smart enough to wear into the office. The lightweight trouser can be turned up to shorten the length, whilst the blazer offers a chic summer take on suiting.

My wardrobe diary
  1. Fluid Pinstripe Blazer
  2. Casual Chambray Shirt
  3. AM-PM Cargo Jogger + Belt

The AM-PM jumpsuit

I love how the contrasting panels of this jumpsuit give a whole new take on traditional polka dots. A zip at the hem means the fabric flows over the shoe to really visually elongate legs. The necktie is detachable which makes it even more versatile: tie it in a loose tie, in a pussybow or remove it altogether for something more pared back.

  1. Fluid Pinstripe Blazer
  2. Halterneck Mixed Polka Dot Jumpsuit + Tie

The wide-leg trouser

The black side stripe of this tailored trouser really visually elongates the leg but I also like that it’s a bit of a play on the classic pinstripe. I’ve dressed it down with a laid-back knit - this cashmere-silk-blend has been knitted off gauge, meaning it feels very lightweight and airy, ideal for trans-seasonal months.
