In an article in Grazia entitled ‘How Meghan nailed her walk-off wardrobe’, The Duchess of Sussex is pictured wearing ME+EM’s Belted Fringe Bouclé Jacket for International Women’s day.

Meghan is no stranger to using her clothing as a platform of socio-political expression, often favouring sustainable brands for instance. On this important day for women then, it was an honour for ME+EM that she chose to champion our female run label.

“Founded by Clare Hornby, ME+EM has become a popular go-to among working women for wearable wardrobe staples that exist beyond the trend cycle”, the article explains.
The Duchess of Sussex was likely drawn not only to the jacket’s stylish design, but the comfortable wearability of the piece as she effectively undertook a day's work. This may also be reflected in the fact she wore the jacket sans belt, opting for an open and more relaxed look.

Highly practical, ME+EM’s designs are also built to work in unison with one another and last more than one season, therefore taking a more sustainable stance amidst the global fast fashion crisis. Meghan’s jacket for instance, is crafted from a lightweight cotton tweed that works trans-seasonally and features functional patch pockets to hold essentials.
